Tony Wilkes awarded DAS Professorship

Tony Wilkes, who took left Cardiff University at the end of 2013 to become an independent consultant on medical devices, standards and statistics, was awarded the honorary title of DAS Professor 2015 at the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Difficult Airway Society Meeting held in Stratford-upon-Avon 12-14 November, 2014.

The award of DAS Professor is conferred ‘in recognition of a member’s national/international standing in the field of airway management as established by outstanding contributions through publications, creative work or other appropriate forms of scholarship, and through teaching and administration’.

Tony, who is well known amongst Barema members, would like to thank the many companies and individuals within Barema who have generously supported the evaluation and assessment work he has been involved in for more than 25 years.

He will be giving his inaugural lecture as DAS Professor at the World Airway Management Meeting (WAMM), the joint Annual Scientific Meeting of DAS and the Society of Airway Management (SAM), to be held in Dublin 12-14 November, 2015.
