trainingA key part of Barema's vision is to, "maintain [the anaesthetic and respiratory] sector's enviable reputation for exceptionally high levels of quality, safety, [and] reliability".

One part of fulfilling this vision is through our Training Policy and Code of Practice.  All companies have to commit to the standards set out in these documents in order to join the Association.

The externally-accredited Barema Professional Qualification was launched in 2012 in order to assist member companies to ensure their workforce is properly trained.  This clearly benefits patient safety and customer confidence, and protects our members by equipping their staff with the skills and knowledge they need.

It is delivered in partnership with the highly respected Healthcare Skills, includes practical sessions in hospital, and is the only course with full endorsement of the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland and support of the Royal College of Anaesthetists.

The Barema Professional Qualification confers elibibility for Medical Industry Accreditation (MIA) and all commercial credentialing schemes.  Read more >>
